Throw Me the Statue - Hi-Fi Goon

Believe it or not…but it’s actually tough for me to pick these songs for TME.  I actually do put thought into it and occasionally I share those thoughts.

Two other songs were vying for the spot today but this song by Throw Me the Statue wins out.  Why? My answers in list form (naturally):

1) The other two songs were from the 90s and although they are incredible songs of which I’ll probably share at some other time.  This song seems more relevant to this era and my two readers (but, since those two readers are my parents I should maybe switch to the 60s).

2) This song has been stuck in my head all week.  It has not left even though I’ve actually heard better songs but they have not been able to dislodge it from my memory banks.  Props to you TMTS for writing a catchy and clever song.

3) We are having an extended summer temps and this song reminds me of an extended summer two years ago when I was commuting long distances in my car…listening to a lot of good music.

4) The line “I run but I can’t outrun / Each tug just pulls me to” is a great line. I Love it.
