And so my 23 and Me adventure begins. I spat a few times in a tube that is in the “Biohazard” bag. They use Oragene to help stabilize the genomic DNA. You can actually see the strands of DNA floating around in the solution. Normally, I’d say that is cool…but I just purified a bunch of RNA today. RNA trumps DNA every time. No doubt about that. I’ll head to the post office and send off my DNA…and wait for results… I’ll keep everyone posted on the progress.
